♠ The Virginia Reggae Awards
We would like to take this moment to thank each and every single person responsible for making the 2008 Virginia Reggae Awards a smashing success. Your positive energy was all that anyone could ask for. The voters, the musicians, the venue (MP Island Cafe), the sound engineer (Noel), those in attendance, the presenters (Nita Hurt, Coconut Lady, Abbey Kat, Zaq Tiller, IGM carnival troupe, Ausar, Yole and Katrice of Slam magazine, Allison Fedee, Killa Khan, the nominees, the winners, the awesome hosts Lora and Jersey Goodas and the children in attendance all made this event one to look forward to next year. We also want to thank those bands that took time off from their hectic schedules to play at the Virginia Reggae Awards. They are, Session Rockers, Bukwi, Sons of Thunder and Antero who came down from Richmond. All in attendance were also blessed by a Guest appearance by Ras Attitude. It was a beautiful night of love and music. Once again thank you for showing the reggae entertainers around Virginia the love and respect they deserve.

Two artist took home two awards each. They were Bukwi, winning Favorite song and the New Artist awards.
Ras Attitude won the Favorite Album and Favorite Artist award!
V.I.P won the Promoters ward.
Sleepy Wonder won the Producers award (he was nominated for two awards)
Love People won the Sound system award.
Ever- G won the Ambassador award.
Antero won the favorite Band award.
Slam magazine won the Media award.
